White House Visitors Center
Located at the SE corner of 15 and E St, NW in the Department of Commerce Building. This facility features many aspects of the White House, including its architecture, furnishings, first families, social events, and relations with the press and world leaders, as well as a thirty -minute video.

Library of Congress
Tours are held at 10:30, 11:30, 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 Monday to Friday. Saturday tours run at 10:30, 11:30, 1:30, and 2:30. The building is located to the East of the Capitol and to the South of the Supreme Court on 1st Street SE. (closed all Federal Holidays) For more information, visit the Library of Congress.

Supreme Court
There are lectures in the courtroom every weekday that the court is not sitting. They occur every hour on the half-hour from 9:30-3:30 and the building itself is open from 9:00-4:30. The Supreme Court is located on 1st St. NE (directly to the East of the Capitol). You can call (202) 479 3211 to check if the court will be sitting during your visit. If you are interested in attending an oral argument, please go to the Supreme Court.

The US Bureau of Printing and Engraving
Present yourself at the entrance on 14th Street for their public tours. Tours are given Monday through Friday from 10am to 2pm. Tours start at 10am and run every 15 minutes there after.

National Archives
Open Monday through Saturday, from 10-5:30pm, located at the corner of Constitution and 9th St.

Arlington National Cemetery
Open every day. Be sure to see the changing of the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider. For more info see Arlington National Cemetery.

Smithsonian

Spy Museum

National Zoo
Great for kids and adults, too! National Zoo

Ford's Theater (the Lincoln Museum, and the house where Lincoln died): are open from 9: 00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. They are located on 10th St. between E and F streets. Parking is limited but these attractions are within walking distance of Metro stops "Metro Center" and " Gallery Place." Fifteen minute historical talks are presented in the theater at fifteen past the hour except between 12:00 an 2:00 when no talks are given. The public can still tour the theater and museum at their leisure. For more info see Ford's Theater.

Mount Vernon (George Washington’s family estate)
Open everyday (9-4pm). See Mount Vernon.

Holocaust Museum
Open 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. every day including weekends. Tickets are required but they are distributed at the door. If you would like to get them in advance, please visit Holocaust Museum.
