Dominion Trail Mix is a family themed event that was established in 2011 to celebrate the Washington & Old Dominion Trail and our community as a whole.
There are three main components that complete Trail Mix.  The day starts with Hail the Trail. Participants help our beneficiary, the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority, beautify the W&OD trail by rebuilding benches and tables, trimming greenery and picking up trash.  Shortly after, bikers, runners and walkers take part in The Great Skedaddle.  Skedaddle participants commemorate the historic Battle of Bull Run while enjoying the W&OD trail.  Finally, participants from Hail the Trail and The Great Skedaddle, join families and park enthusiasts from around the region for the live music, food, and games at Trail Fest.
